WOW! I have reason to believe this is my fourth great uncle. Do you happen to have more information?
He’s my 4th great-uncle. Who’s the ancestor you believe to be his sibling?
Zilpha Artis is my 3rd great grandmother according to the research I have done. Did Zilpha have a daughter named Louisa Wilson?
Yes, cousin! 🙂 Zilpha married John “Jack” Wilson. I’ve got much more about the family at my genealogy blog, http://www.scuffalong.com. I’m descended from Zilpha and Jonah’s brother Adam T. Artis.
OMG! This is so exciting! I’m stuck because Louise allegedly had a daughter named Annie, but I cannot seem to find documentation to support that. I’ll check out your blog. Do you happen to be familiar with Annie Locus or a Hattie Artis?
Louisa Wilson married Candus Locus on 8.14.1879. Their children included Jonah, Annie, Johnnie, Lominary(?), Levi and Lorenzo Locus.
Yes…. You are awesome! Does Annie have a daughter with her husband Ivey Artis? Thank you so much for what you have shared.
I don’t know anything beyond the names of Louisa’s children.
Thank you for all of the information that you offered. My name is Maquita by the way. Have a good day, Cousin!
Glad I could help! It’s the whole reason I established the blog. Take care.
