Thanks for this information! Hannah is my 4th great grandmother and Maston and Sarah are siblings of my 3rd great grandfather William Ethan Robinson. I was already aware of Maston, but not mother Hannah nor sister Sarah. I am researching this family of Joseph Clark as my mother has 3 or more dna matches of this same Clark and Moorman family. The families originated out of Louisa County, VA. Joseph’s father Christopher and uncle Benjamin moved to NC.
Wonderful! Glad the info found you!
I’m wondering if the Zachariah you mentioned in another document selling land to other free persons of color Tabitha May Clark sister of Jesse Clark have any relation? Jesse Clark was living above my relatives on 1820 census.
I’m thinking the Zachariah is the father Maston, Sarah, William etc. I’ve found documentation of three other children Zachariah, Thomas and Matthew as being bound to the same Joseph Clark in 1790.
William Ethan Robinson named my 2nd great grandfather Thomas Robinson. I’m thinking after a brother. Maston has a son named Zachariah and a daughter named Hannah
I have not done detailed Anson County research, but can recommend someone who does if you’re interested. He supplied me with many of the Anson County documents I’ve transcribed and posted.
Steve Bailey right? I’ve been in contact with him we’ve been sharing information.
My other family is from Robeson County
Yep, that’s him. If anybody can track down a record in Anson County, it’s him. Unfortunately, I have found that tracking specific FPC families in antebellum NC is incredibly difficult. It’s why I started this blog.
Where is Antebellum? I’ve seen you in the ancestry fb group as well 🙂
“Antebellum” means before the Civil War. Yes, I co-administer two and am a member of a few more.
