[Sidenote: Nancy Henderson, also known as Nancy Dove, was the sister of my great-great-great-great-grandmother, Patsey Henderson. –LYH]
I am looking for information on Nancy Dove. She married William Valentine in Craven County May 22, 1820. I am Nancy’s Great, Great, Great Granddaughter. I would like to know who were her parents.
This is a different Nancy Dove, Margaret. The subject of this post was born Nancy Henderson. She lived in Onslow County; had several children by Simon Dove, though they never married; and eventually was known as Nancy Dove. I am fairly certain that all that the Craven/Jones/Onslow Doves descend from “Malaga Moll” (see my post), but have not discovered the lines of descent.
I agree with you wholeheartedly.
I think that my Nancy Dove is the daughter of William Dove And Juno Moore based on my research. I just need the PROOF.
I don’t know why they are so evasive. I will be a Happy Camper when this is proven.
Thanks again for hanging in there with me.
Margaret
They’re a frustrating bunch. I moved not one inch closer to any additional info on my Onslow Hendersons, even with DNA testing. But yet I persevere.
Many thanks Lisa for such a prompt response.
Margaret
Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment! I’ll keep an eye out for your Nancy Dove!

Thank You, Thank You. You are the best.
